At an altitude of 2,198 feet, Whistler's weather can be a bit unpredictable. During our visit in June we saw some light drizzle, beautiful sun, and mostly overcast skies...all in one day.

Historically, it's in the low to mid-50's at the end of April. There is usually still snow on the ground: some years a ton, some years, just a bit, and some years it snows! So, pack wisely. We recommend bringing lots of layers so you can adjust to whatever the day throws at us.

Also, keep in mind that our ceremony will be outside, but covered. The rest of the evening will be inside. Ladies, choose your footwear wisely as it may be slippery outside #hetronormativity.

P.S. There's a roof-top hot tub so bring your swimsuit 😉

Getting There

Getting There

Located about two hours north of Vancouver, Whistler is situated just off Highway 99. We recommend flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and then making your way up to Whistler.

Whistler is about a 2.5 hour drive from the airport in Vancouver. You can either rent a car*, take a bus, or charter a vehicle. Find more information about your different options here.

Once there, Nita Lake Lodge is about a 10 minute drive from Whistler Village. There is a free shuttle from the Lodge to the Village that runs on demand.

We highly encourage carpooling up! We'll be setting up a Facebook group so that you all can communicate.

*We found that we didn't really use a car once we were in Whistler so it's up to you.
